World Books

We are open! We are currently unable to offer masks for our visitors, so entry is only possible with our own face mask.

Since the area is not large, the maximum number of visitors is limited to two at the same time, there may be waiting times.

Open bookcase of the GFFB gGmbH: A place to linger across generations, to read a good book and to live interculturality.

Frankfurt loves their more than 50 open bookcases. GFFB gGmbH is now donating the largest of them. The cabinet is equipped with fiction and non-fiction books from all over the world and with a rich number of children’s and youth books. Cozy seating islands invite you to browse, preferably with a hot coffee and a freshly baked piece of cake.

As with the other bookcases in Frankfurt, GFFB gGmbH wishes for a lively exchange of books and maximum reading pleasure.

For book donations, please call 069 951097-240.

How does the GFFB open bookcase work?

The concept of the open bookcase provides that all those interested in books get a platform

– to make previously read books available to others by donating them to the open bookcase.

– or are you looking for new reading material for yourself or your children? Then browse through the existing books and take a maximum of two books with you per visit.

Taking the books with you is free of charge. If you have read the books and no longer need them, we would be happy if you brought them back. Otherwise you are welcome to keep them.
